For the release of their album Can't Touch Us Now, the legendary mischief makers Madness needed a television advertising campaign to match the playful album cover artwork.

Create a television commercial for the cheeky ska-pop band Madness matching the playful chaos of the Can’t Touch Us Now album artwork.

Taking shape one frame at a time

One thing’s for sure: Madness and London go hand in hand.
The storyboard concept envisions the band popping up across the capital — six cheeky chaps causing mischief in the city they call home.

Taking cues from the collage-style album cover, the advert would mix vintage photographic imagery with iconic London locations.

The winning result: a bold, playful concept showing Madness taking over London — proving you really can’t touch them now. Madness loved the commercial so much they wanted to take it one step further and use the same concept for the music video of their leading song on the album ‘Can’t Touch Us Now’.
