Why designing
for social matters

The power of social media is worth paying attention to.

Whether you are just starting to explore the realm of online visibility, or are in a place where elevating your social presence is a job on your to-do list, there’s no denying that the way you show up online is important.

Maintaining brand cohesion to ensure your business is getting the most out of what you put online is vital, and in a world where AI slop is being plastered everywhere, there is an art in social brand design to find out just how far your brand can go.

Before reaching for AI to generate a reproduced social post that will look like everyone else’s, let’s have a seat and develop a workable toolkit that ensures your business stands out authentically.

Building Awareness

World Suicide Prevention Day

atai life sciences

Many people experiencing suicidal thoughts don’t show obvious signs.

With atai Life Sciences (now AtaiBeckley), a social media campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day aimed at raising awareness around the hidden signs of struggling with mental health, and encouraging more open and honest conversations.

The concept centred on highlighting the reality that someone may be struggling deeply while appearing completely fine on the surface. In a world which is chronically online, it’s important more than ever to check in on how your loved ones are doing.

The campaign aimed to encourage people to reach out to those around them, recognise subtle warning signs, and create a culture where talking openly about mental health feels safe and stigma-free.

Pushing creative boundaries

So you’ve got a logo. You’ve got brand guidelines.

But do you know how to push the limits when it comes to expanding across your social channels? A logo is always important, but it will only get you so far in a vast digital sea of online advertising; it’s what you do next that counts.
